Understanding Amazon FBA fees
Selling on Amazon using the Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) program involves several layers of fees that directly impact your profitability. The two primary categories of fees are referral fees and fulfillment fees.
Referral fees are essentially Amazon's sales commission. This is a percentage of the total selling price (usually 15% for most categories) charged for every item sold. Fulfillment fees cover the cost of picking, packing, shipping, and handling customer service for your items. These are flat fees based on the size tier and shipping weight of your product.
